Holiday Makeup Bag..

Going to Spain I knew it would be hot so packed light makeup-wise.. It is over 40 degrees so the makeup I have with me is really being tested.. and, surprisingly, it is faring incredibly well..

Firstly I am using several products on my face before makeup to protect my skin from the heat. My moisturiser by Simple has an SPF 10 in which isn't a lot but is better than nothing and is very moisturising when the heat has dried out my skin a bit. On top of that I am using Piz Buin's factor 50 for the face (yes it is for people with a sun allergy, but coming from Ireland I am rather prone to burning..) just across my forehead, down my nose and under my eyes. Of course Lip balm is a must and I love the strawberry carmex and the added factor 15 is a bonus.

I packed very light with tools.. my eyelash curlers, which I can't live without, two brushes (one powder brush which I have no idea where it came from and one blusher brush Primark) and my No7 eyebrow pencil, which I am only using for the brush part.

So, this is the interesting (ish) part.. I have been using the 17 BB Blemish Balm in the shade Light. Honestly, this is a tiny bit dark for me at home but on holiday I love it, it stays ALL day.. really, all day and is a high coverage, which I did not excpect at all, and for the bargain price of £6.99 I think it is worth every penny. For concealing I decided to bring the Natural collection (I use a lot of their products..) concealer in Light because it is normally too dark for me but with the BB cream it goes perfectly and the Gosh Touch Up concealer in shade 1 because it covers EVERYTHING. I brought the Natural Collection loose powder to set my makeup and their Blush in Peach Melba which is my absolute favourite blush ever, and I have tried a lot.. Finally, I brought a sample of the Benefit BAD gal lash mascara that I got with Glamour magazine a month or so ago. I actually really like the mascara, but it will just never compare to my current favourite, Max Factor's false lash effect.

So, that is what I brought on holiday.. nothing too exciting..
