I'm rather proud of my Easter Pavlova

4 egg yolks
225g caster sugar
1tsp cornflower
1tsp white wine vinegar 

  • Heat the oven to 180C/fan
  • Line a circular tray with baking parchment 
  • Beat the egg yolks with electric beaters until they form stiff shiny peaks
  • Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whisk
  • After adding all the sugar continue whisking for several minutes until they form stiff and glossy peaks
  • Whisk in the cornflower and vinegar
  • Spoon the mixture onto the tray and use a palette knife to spread it and make it slightly bowl-like
  • Put into the oven and immediately turn it down to 120C/fan and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes then turn off the oven and leave in as long as possible until completely cool (I left mine in over night)


Go wild with your decorations, use anything you like. This is what I used:
Milka Bunnies
Large hollow egg
Galaxy Caramel mini eggs
Cadburry Mini Eggs
