Andrew and I went for a little holiday with his family to Ballycastle. It was a lovely few days away from Belfast, even if the weather wasn't particularly pleasant.
The wind was so strong and my hair looked very wind-swept but we took Humphrey for his first trip to the beach! He was so excited and ran around in circles. It was lovely to see him so excited, we will definitely have to bring him to the beach as often as possible!
Taking Humphrey for walks has been lovely.
We went for a walk around an old friary that was round the corner from the house we were staying in. The sun came out for a few minutes as we walked around which made a nice change from the rain!
I love this picture of Andrew and Humphrey, it is just so cute!
We didn't do an awful lot while we were in Ballycastle but it was really nice just to relax and not have to think about work or the mess of our little house.
I have finally found a chippy who put enough ketchup on the chips! Mind you, it was so windy I probably ended up eating more hair than chips (note to self: bring a hair bobble when out in the wind and eating food...).
The skies were grey but the scenery was pretty and the company was lovely. We all went for a nice dinner on the last night and Andrew's sister and I had a look around the rooms in the hotel set up for a wedding the next day. It all looked very pretty and romantic. This was also the first time leaving little Humphrey alone in the house for any length of time (albeit not overly long) and he was brilliant!
I love anything violet or rose flavoured. This ice cream was incredible; I had one scoop of parma violet and one scoop of turkish delight which essentially meant I had a big tub of delicious violet and rose ice cream! Yummy!
I think everyone had a really lovely time in Ballycastle (especially Humphrey) and I think Andrew and I will definitely be back for a day trip some time soon!
