Wedding Wednesday: DIY save the date

So I was thinking about the run up to the big day and those all crucial "save the date" cards, so your guests have plenty of notice for your big day.

The cardboard luggage labels can be purchased from any craft store, supermarket or post office at a very reasonable rate for 50 or more! However, it's what you decide to do with them that counts!

Perhaps some diamante studded hearts...simple yet gorgeous!

Or perhaps you would prefer something like this? (which is my personal favourite).  All the materials for this are purchasable from any craft store, these ones came from a craft fair.

Depending on your colour scheme you could have one of these with the appropriate coloured flower/button attached.

Or perhaps some lace and a button?

I used the hearts cut from this one to make the one at the top (no wastage here!).

There are so many ideas, these are just a few I thought I would show you today :)

So would you choose any of these designs for your "save the date" announcements? Let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

  2. Very cute, vintage look! I didn't bother with STD's at my wedding, we just saved the money & send the invites out instead!
